Location.Hotel Villa Morgagni is a boutique hotel housed in a Liberty Villa built at the beginning of the 19th century, 50 metres from Villa Torlonia Park and 2.5 kilometres from Palazzo Barberini and the National Museum. Rome Fiumicino Airport is 53 kilometres away, and takes around 35 minutes to reach by car. Hotel Features.Breakfast is served on the covered roof terrace with views over the rooftops of Rome, and the hotel has a sauna and steam room. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can make ticket reservations for theatres, restaurants and shows, as well as assist with room service orders, and a shuttle service runs from to and from the airport (surcharge). Parking is available for those arriving by car (surcharge).
Morgagni Bar features tapestry walls, dark wood panelling, soft lighting and a relaxed atmosphere and serves a choice of drinks and cocktails.
Guestrooms.The 34 air conditioned guestrooms are located on four floors. All are elegantly furnished in a classical style with tapestry walls, high ceilings and antique style furniture. Amenities include cable television, direct dial phones, Internet connections, minibars and complimentary toiletries.
Expert Tip. The beautiful Palazzo Barberini, 2.5 kilometres from the hotel, is home to the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica, one of the most important painting collections in Italy. It includes, among many others, Raphael's portrait La Fornarina, Caravaggio's Judith Beheading Holofernes, and a Hans Holbein portrait of Henry VIII.

DirectionsGetting there.There is an express train service every 30 minutes to Rome's Termini train station (journey time 30 minutes), which is 1.5 kilometres from the hotel. A single ticket costs around 10 EUR. Taxis are readily available at the airport, but take a licensed metered taxi only. An airport surcharge is payable, and a taxi to the city centre will cost 50 60 EUR. Rome's efficient integrated transportation system includes buses, trams, subway (Metro) and suburban trains. Tickets should be bought before boarding and are available from ATAC ticket machines and all tobacconists. A single ticket (BIT) costs 1 EUR, is valid for 75 minutes, and covers unlimited bus journeys and one metro trip. The historic city centre is easily negotiated on foot. Driving is not recommended for visitors.
