Description
Location. The smart Hotel Raffaello is located in Rome, Italy, 300 metres from the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. The Roman Forum and Via Veneto are one and a half kilometres away. The Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Colosseum are within two and a half kilometres. Stazione Termini is 300 metres from the hotel.

Drinks are served in the lounge bar and lobby. Crystal chandeliers, oil paintings, damask table linen and gilt framed mirrors decorate the breakfast room where complimentary buffet breakfasts are offered.
The Hotel Raffaello has a games room. Guests have access to the sister property Hotel Senato's rooftop garden, opposite the Pantheon, and receive discounts to a fitness centre 500 metres away.

Expert Tip. Via Urbana, in the Rione Monti quarter, is ancient Rome's trade district, where furniture makers and blacksmiths once worked. Former workshops (bottegas) are now art studios where artists sell wood, stained glass, gold and silver artworks, and perform restoration work.

Distance to Hotel Raffaello is 35 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The Leonardo Express runs between the airport and the Termini train station in the city centre every 30 minutes. The journey time is about 35 minutes and single tickets cost 9.50 EUR. The Terravision shuttle bus runs between the airport and Termini station. The station is 300 metres from the hotel. Taxis are also available and cost about 3 EUR and 1 EUR for each piece of luggage. Taxis to the city centre from the airport cost about 60 EUR, and taking a metered licensed taxi is advised. The hotel can also arrange transfers. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is on Via Urbana. Rome's historic city centre is easy to explore on foot, as many attractions are located close together. The city has an efficient public transport system, including trams, buses, suburban trains, and metro (underground). Termini station is 300 metres away. Tickets can be purchased from tobacconists and ATAC ticket machines, and should be bought prior to boarding. Single tickets cost 1 EUR, and are valid for 75 minutes, covering one metro trip and unlimited bus travel. Driving in the city centre is not advised for visitors. Parking is available near the hotel (surcharge).
Driving directions. From Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO):
Take the A1 Fiumicino/Roma in the direction of Eur.
Exit at Eur Roma Centro.
Follow Via Cristoforo Colombo until arriving at the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano.
Continue along Via Merulana towards Stazione Termini.
At the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, turn left.
Turn right onto Via Vasche. The hotel is on the corner of Via Urbana and Via Vasche.
