Description
Location. The Hotel Piazza Venezia is located in central Rome, Italy, 400 metres from the imposing dome of the Pantheon and 700 metres from Colosseo metro station. St Peter's Basilica is 2.5 kilometres from the hotel. Hotel Features. Built within the remains of an imposing ancient Roman palace, the five storey Hotel Piazza Venezia features a modern interior hung with Pop Art in primary colours. The air conditioned lobby features neutral coloured walls, a metallic open staircase, and avant garde furniture. Amenities include a 24 hour front desk, laundry facilities, and a safe deposit box.
The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but the surrounding area offers several dining options.
Guestrooms. Painted in canary yellow, the 53 guestrooms feature Art Deco style patterned sheets, and chestnut wooden borders. All are hung with modern art prints and include televisions, telephones, and bathrooms.
Expert Tip. Piazza di Spagna is one of the city's most popular meeting places. Among its most striking elements are the 137 steps and 12 different flights that make up the famous Spanish Steps, which are decorated with blooming azaleas every May.

DirectionsFrom Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO): Distance to Hotel Piazza Venezia is 25 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The Leonardo Express runs between the airport and the Termini train station in the city centre every 30 minutes. The journey time is about 35 minutes and single tickets cost 9.50 EUR. The Terravision shuttle bus runs between the airport and Termini station. Taxis to the city centre cost about 60 EUR, and taking a metered licensed taxi is advised. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Rome's historic city centre is easy to explore on foot, as many attractions are located close together. The city has an efficient public transport system, including trams, buses, suburban trains, and metro (underground). Tickets can be purchased from tobacconists and ATAC ticket machines, and should be bought prior to boarding. Single tickets cost 1 EUR, and are valid for 75 minutes, covering one metro trip and unlimited bus travel. Driving in the city centre is not advised for visitors.
