Description
Location. The historic Hotel Gladiatori in Rome, Italy, is opposite the Coliseum, Rome's renowned Amphitheatre, and two blocks from the Palatine hill. The hotel is one kilometre from the Forum, and the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon are within two and a half kilometres. The closest metro stop is Colosseo, 200 metres from the hotel. Hotel Features. The four floor Hotel Gladiatori, built on former gladiatorial barracks, has a roof terrace affording views over the Coliseum.
Mediterranean dishes are served in the Imperiale Restaurant which offers alfresco dining on its adjoining roof garden terrace. The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays. Guests can enjoy cocktails on the terrace overlooking the Coliseum, and there is also a lounge bar. Complimentary American breakfast is provided at the hotel.
There are meeting rooms, a business centre and secretarial services available. The hotel has high speed Internet connections.

DirectionsFrom Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO): Distance to Hotel Gladiatori is 30 kilometres, approximately 35 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The Leonardo Express runs between the airport and the Termini train station in the city centre every 30 minutes. The station is about two kilometres away. Taxis are available or guests can take the Metro to Colosseo, 200 metres from the hotel. The journey time is about 35 minutes and single tickets cost 9.50 EUR. The Terravision shuttle bus runs between the airport and Termini station. Taxis to the city centre cost about 60 EUR, and taking a metered licensed taxi is advised. The hotel can also arrange airport transport. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The hotel is on Via Labicana. Rome's historic city centre is easy to explore on foot, as many attractions are located close together. The city has an efficient public transport system, including trams, buses, suburban trains, and metro (underground). Tickets can be purchased from tobacconists and ATAC ticket machines, and should be bought prior to boarding. Single tickets cost 1 EUR, and are valid for 75 minutes, covering one metro trip and unlimited bus travel. Driving in the city centre is not advised for visitors. The hotel offers secure valet parking.
