Description
Location. Hotel Diana is located in the centre of Rome, Italy, 300 metres from the city's main railway station, Termini. It lies one kilometre from the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps. Hotel Features. This six storey hotel is housed in a typically Roman 29th century building. The 24 hour front desk has multilingual staff who can offer tour assistance, concierge services, and 24 hour room service. Complimentary newspapers are on offer in the lobby and wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available in the air conditioned public areas.
Restaurant L'Uliveto is set on the hotel's rooftop terrace with sweeping views across Rome's skyline, and serves regional specialities and Mediterranean dishes. A complimentary buffet breakfast is offered daily.
Guestrooms. The 166 guestrooms are decorated in a traditional Italian style with striped wallpaper and patterned fabrics. All are equipped with satellite television with pay movies, climate control, and wireless Internet. Other standard amenities include safes, minibars, and desks. DirectionsFrom Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO): Distance to Hotel Diana is 35 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The Leonardo Express runs between the airport and the Termini train station (300 metres from the hotel) in the city centre every 30 minutes. The journey time is about 35 minutes and single tickets cost 9.50 EUR. The Terravision shuttle bus runs between the airport and Termini station. Taxis to the city centre cost about 40 EUR, and taking a metered licensed taxi is advised. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Rome's historic city centre is easy to explore on foot, as many attractions are located close together. The city has an efficient public transport system, including trams, buses, suburban trains, and metro (underground). Tickets can be purchased from tobacconists and ATAC ticket machines, and should be bought before boarding. Single tickets cost 1 EUR, and are valid for 75 minutes, covering one metro trip and unlimited bus travel. Driving in the city centre is not advised for visitors.
