Description
Location. The Alius Hotel is city centre property that occupies the third floor of a historic 17th century property situated 30 metres from Piazza Repubblica and within 500 metres of the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Rome Fiumicino Airport is 40 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.
Hotel Features. The hotel offers a continental breakfast of breads, pastries, croissants, cereals, yogurt, fruit juices and coffee every morning. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk are on hand to offer advice on Rome's sights and attractions. Other amenities include left luggage, laundry and fax services, and airport transfers (surcharge).
Guestrooms. The Alius Hotel's ten air conditioned guestrooms feature simple, traditional Italian decor with tiled floors and wooden furnishings, and include television, coffee/tea makers and bathrooms with showers and makeup mirrors.
Expert Tip. The hotel is located 30 metres from the Piazza della Repubblica, a pretty square lined with palaces, built in 1896. Nymphs dance upon the fountain in the middle of the square and the lovely Santa Maria degli Angeli church completes the scene.

DirectionsGetting there. The Leonardo Express train leaves the airport every 30 minutes for Rome's Termini train station. A single ticket costs 9.50 EUR and the journey takes 35 minutes. Alternatively, the Terravision shuttle bus connects the airport with the city centre Termini train station, 500 metres from the hotel. The nearest metro station is Republic Square. Taxis are readily available at the airport but it is recommended that travellers take licensed metered taxis only. A taxi to the city centre should cost around 60 EUR.
